Full Occupational Therapy Assessment
The most popular service at BrightStart, a full OT assessment allows us to assess your child in a holistic manner, considering both their educational and home environments. We conduct standardised assessments such as the Sensory Profile 2, Sensory Processing Measure, Movement ABC, and Dash Speed of Handwriting, alongside clinical observations and non-standardised assessments or questionnaires. Please note that this assessment is suitable for children aged 4 and older.

Sensory Screening Assessment
A sensory screening provides valuable insights into your child’s sensory profile and needs. Using tools like the Sensory Profile 2, Adolescent Sensory Profile, or Sensory Processing Measure (SPM), alongside a classroom observation or a one-hour appointment, we can assess how sensory processing impacts their daily life. This screening helps identify specific sensory sensitivities or needs and guides strategies for support. We offer these assessments for children as young as 2 years old, ensuring early intervention and tailored strategies to promote well-being and development.

Intervention Sessions
Intervention can be delivered at home or school depending on your child’s unique needs and circumstances. Each session begins with a comprehensive assessment to fully understand the child's specific goals, strengths, and challenges. Based on this, targeted support is provided in critical developmental areas such as emotional regulation, fine motor skills, coordination, gross motor development, and academic progress. The intervention is individually tailored to promote skill development, build confidence, and enhance overall well-being. Strategies are carefully designed to ensure children not only achieve measurable progress but also experience meaningful improvements in their daily lives. By incorporating real-life scenarios, we aim to support children in navigating their world with greater independence, resilience, and success.
